When thinking of a nice place to eat to celebrate an anniversary, or even a special occasion, we think classy, fun, maybe a bit out of the ordinary.
We’ve chosen some of those places for your next special occasion:
1. Le Valluaris, Palm Springs
Not only considered one of the the top 10 restaurants in Palm Springs, it’s one of the top 100 in the country. Elegant French-Mediterranean with an old world setting. Diners say the rack of lamb is superb.
2. Cork Tree, Palm Desert
White table cloths, attentive servers, gorgeous bar, really screams “Happy Anniversary Darling!” I’ve had the goat cheese and tomato salad and it’s delicious!
3.Spencers, Palm Springs
Romantic ambiance and great food. Diners say the boneless ribs are out of this world yummy!
4. Piazza Trilussa Ristorante, Cathedral City
Italian cuisine, could you tell? Those served compliment the good food at moderate prices. Take a look at the seafood pasta. It’s their signature dish.
5. Mastro’s Steakhouse, Palm Desert
On El Paseo… The real deal, sophisticated and classic. Highly acclaimed atmosphere. The lobster whipped potatoes and bone in pork chops are a good choice.
6. Pappy and Harriet’s Pioneertown Palace, Yucca Valley
OK, look, this is just if you want something really FUN and very memorable. It’s like a saloon, quite a ways from palm Springs, up in the hills. Their barbecue and garlic mashed potatoes are featured on national TV travel shows. No kidding.
7. Spa Resort Casino, Palm Springs
Right downtown. Put on the dog, get the valet parking, have lobster and steak, do a little gambling. Maybe spend the night in the hotel. Diners say the shrimp scampi, and the martini’s, that come with extra in a small glass, are two favorites.
8. Shame On The Moon, Rancho Mirage
I love the name, that’s enough to get me there, but those who have eaten there love it! Gets great reviews for food and service. The Seared Ahi is a real crowd pleaser.
9. Trio, Palm Springs
Go here for the fun of it all. Super martinis, good food. The most booked restaurant in Palm Springs. That says something right? Pork chops with mashed potatoes, pot roast, shrimp linguine… all highly rated.
10. The Cliffhouse Grill and Bar, La Quinta
Jetting out….set on top of the rocks overlooking the desert floor this is one nice place. Known for years as one of the most romantic spots in the area. Diners rave about the Ahi tuna tart-re with Ponzu sauce appetizer.
