Dan’s Favorite Holiday Movie, Home Alone

I love every part of the Christmas season. Part of the season, of course are the anticipation of annual Holiday specials and movies. I have many that I look forward to every year. If I had to pick one favorite movie, it has to be, “Home Alone.”

I feel it’s pretty safe to say most of you have seen this Holiday classic many times. If you love it as much as I do, you probably have your own copy. There is still something about watching it annually when it airs during the Holidays.

In case you didn’t know, here’s the story of, “Home Alone.” It was released in 1990. This Christmas comedy was written and produced by John Hughes and directed by Chris Columbus. The film stars Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister, a boy who is mistakenly left behind when his family flies to Paris for their Christmas vacation. Kevin initially relishes being home alone, but soon has to contend with many situations. Other stars include Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, Catherine O’Hara and John Heard.

I look forward to watching this Christmas favorite every year from the classic Christmas tunes to all the predicaments that Macaulay gets caught up in. I have already seen it this year and it probably won’t be the only time that I watch it!
