March is Here and Packed with Fun Events!

The year is flying by and March is here! Check out our Top Ten things to do in March in the Coachella Valley!

1. Fantasy Springs Casino Special Events Center, Indio

Fantasy Springs offers these concerts for March. On Friday, March 3rd it’s Experience Hendrix. Paul Anka  returns Saturday March 4th. Brian Wilson is on stage, Saturday March 18th. It’s the comedy of Dana Carvey Friday March 24th. More music with Paul Rogers, Saturday March 25th and Kenny G rounds out the month on Friday, March 31st. All shows are at 8pm.

2. Spotlight 29 Casino, Coachella

Here’s the lineup of shows for Spotlight 29 Casino for March. Michael Bolton returns on March 11th. Los Tigres Del Norte is in concert on Friday, March 17th. Martina McBride is in the valley on Saturday, March 18th. Kool and the Gang return on Saturday, March 25th. Rounding out the month of March is Dwight Yoakam on Friday, March 31st. All shows at 8pm.

3. The Show at Agua Caliente Casino, Rancho Mirage

Duran Duran hits the stage on Saturday, March 18th. Alan Jackson is in concert on Friday March 24th and also Saturday, March 25th. Placido Domingo is in concert on Monday, March 27th at 7pm. All other shows at 8pm except Alan Jackson’s March 24th show which is at 9pm.

4. Spa Resort Casino, Palm Springs

It’s their Concerts Under the Palms series on Saturday, March 11th when The Temptations Review hit the stage.

5. The Coachella Valley Wildflower Festival, Palm Desert

This fun family event takes place on Saturday, March 4th from 9am til 4pm. It’s free admission and off-site parking. The Friends of the Desert Mountains offer a Run/Walk, hikes, vendors, raffles, food and drinks and more. The Festival is located at the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Visitor Center, Highway 74.

6. The La Quinta Arts Festival, La Quinta

It’s the 35th anniversary of one of the finest art shows in the United States! There is something for everyone in this beautiful park setting. Food and beverages are also available. The dates are March 2-5. Hours are 10am-5pm each day. There is an admission charge of $17.00 single day and Multi day pass is $22.00. No pets please.

7. The BNP Paribas Open, Indian Wells Tennis Gardens, Indian Wells

The greatest tennis players in the world are in our backyard for this spectacular event from March 6th-19th. This World Class Tournament is one of the highlights of the season and brings fans from all over the world.

8. The Patrick Warburton Celebrity Golf Tournament, Palm Desert

This 7th annual event has become a huge part of the season all for a great cause! Golf for 2 days plus a songwriters night, a Soiree on Saturday night and another highlight, The Jam on Friday night!  Dozens of world class rock stars participate in the Celebrity Jam that annually is an over the top highlight of the event that goes into the wee hous of the morning. The mission is raising funds for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. The event is March 9th-March 12th.

9. The ANA Inspiration, Mission Hills, Rancho Mirage

Yet another world class sports event for our Coachella Valley. The tradition started with Dinah Shore in 1972, 45 years ago. This LPGA event is one of 5 major championships of professional women’s golf and their first major of the year. It is well attended every year by golf lovers from the Valley and from all over the world. It takes place March 27th-April 2nd at Mission Hills Country Club.

10. El Paseo Fashion Week, Palm Desert

The Gardens on El Paseo provide the setting for all the newest collections by top designers as well as fresh ideas by merging designers. Fashions, parties, trunk shows, exhibitions, runway shows and plenty more! The event runs March 18th-25th with various times and locations.
