It’s no secret that after the social season ends in May, there are less events. Here are five not to miss events to check out this Summer!

1. Palm Springs International  Shortfest, Palm Springs

Palm Springs is known for hosting the huge Palm Springs Film Festival in January. This festival is just as great for the lover of short films. There are film makers from all over the world. Some of the films are just a few minutes long up to about an hour. It’s a great event with many categories, awards and of course parties! The festival is June 20th thru the 26th.

2. POP, Pets on Parade, Palm Desert

This is a fun event held annually in July. This year marks the 19th year honoring pets and benefitting great desert charities Pegasus and Loving all Animals. There is a luncheon, auction items and awards. POP is on July 16th 11;30am-2pm.

3. Fourth of July Celebrations

As always there will be numerous Fourth of July celebrations all over the Coachella Valley. In past years two of the most popular events have taken place at Palm Springs Stadium with The Palm Springs Power baseball and The Palm Desert Civic Center Park.

4. Jazz in the Pines 2017, Idyllwild

Escape the Summer heat by going to Idyllwild for their 24th annual event. Enjoy great music in this beautiful mountain setting August 11th-13th. Over two dozen bands, vendors, food and drinks all make this a great and close by weekend of fun.

5. Comic Con Palm Springs

Don’t miss this definitive comic experience featuring celebrities, concerts and costume contests! The event takes place August 25th-27th. All events will take place at the Palm Springs Convention Center.
