As if Thomas Rhett wasn’t busy enough, tackling his third studio album Life Changes and being a dad to two adorable baby girls, he’s now taking a gigantic leap into the merchandise industry.

The country-pop crossover artist is slated to perform at The Greek Theater in Los Angeles on September 22 and on that same day he’ll be opening a pop-up shop, where he’ll be selling his brand, HomeTeam, which will include everything from anorak track pullovers, shorts and caps.

“I’ve never seen anyone else in country music do a pop-up store,” Rhett told W Magazine. “If you ask anybody how country artists dress, they would think probably a belt buckle and a cowboy hat. There still are those people but, the people at my concerts, a lot of them are wearing Gucci T-shirts.”

At his pop-up shop, officially dubbed “Daniel Patrick X Thomas Rhett,” the 27-year old plans to take the approach of some successful pop-stars, one of which includes Justin Beiber, by teaming up with fashion designers to beef up the quality of his merchandise.

“In country music, all we ever do is sell face-T’s and a lot of them are terrible, things that I would never wear, ever,” Rhett said. “The biggest goal of the pop-up store is to put country music on that map, trying to get kids who want to be into fashion a way to start somewhere.”
